Extended Parts & Labor Warranty

Heating and air conditioning systems have been known to fail over time regardless of the equipment's excellent reputation.  Our Extended Warranty program will cover repair costs due to mechanical failure of your equipment for the life of the agreement.

Our warranty program is handled by Equiguard, Inc. in Illinois.  Equiguard is North America's leading provider of risk management programs to the HVAC/R and plumbing industry.  Established in 1989, Equiguard has a 13-year history of providing unique and timely products that fit the needs of the consumer and residential contractor.  Their client base is comprised of 21,000+ contractors, 600+ distributors; the most recognized names in manufacturing and commercial property owners.

There are no deductibles or hidden charges to worry about and can be transferred to a subsequent homeowner should you decide to sell your home.  This program will cover parts, labor, and diagnostic costs in the event there is a mechanical failure within the furnace, evaporator coil, air conditioner, and thermostat.  The exclusions to the Extended Warranty Program are as follows:
APPEARANCE Features, esthetics, paint and cabinet parts, knobs, and buttons.
DAMAGES Consequential or otherwise caused by rust, brownouts, blackouts, environmental conditions outside of manufacturer specifications, oxidation, corrosions, water, freezing, fire, lightning, or other natural acts.
LOSS OF PERFORMANCE Due to normal wear and tear, overrated capacities, modifications to original system, insufficient water or poor water conditions.
CONSUMABLE PRODUCTS Including, but not limited to nitrogen, torch, solder, carbon dioxide, process fluids, lubricants, glycol, additives, filters, media filters, humidifier filters, and batteries.
WIRING/ELECTRICAL Low or high voltage wiring external of unit (ie humidifier, thermostat, condenser, or other controls mounted external of unit), fuses, breakers (unless part of unit by original equipment manufacturer).
MISCELLANEOUS Registers, batteries, grills, key valves, duct work, plumbing, venting, nuisance calls such as resetting breakers, low or dead thermostat batteries, and adjustments made to programming, belts, or dampers.
UNAUTHORIZED REPAIRS

Any work performed by any unauthorized servicer.

ROUTINE MAINTENANCE In order to keep this Extended Warranty valid, you must have the equipment serviced by a qualified, properly licensed, mechanical contractor.
The extended warranty program does not cover preventive maintenance but does require that an annual maintenance be performed on your system to keep the agreement valid.  See Preventive Maintenance Agreements.
